RURAL POLICING IS ABOUT TO CHANGE
The Parish Council now has a dedicated Police Liaison Representative, Cllr Mrs Michele Milroy who operates the community safety working party. She will be meeting with the new Rural Policing Team and our local PCSO Donna Fenner in the upcoming months in order to create a 2 way communication system for any concerns or issues in the village. The Parish Council are hoping to begin informal meetings at the library once a month or every 6 weeks where residents can turn up and chat to Cllr Mrs Milroy, PCSO or a member of the Rural Police Team. You should see an increase in 'bobbies on the beat'. Northants Police now have a mobile unit which they are hoping will stop in villages so residents can chat to the Police. There are also more vehicles, motor bikes and push bikes available to the Police to get out and about as well as drones to assist the Police.
If you have any issues or concerns, please dial 999 in an emergency, or report on 101 or online for any other issues such as anti-social behaviour or reporting a crime.
A couple of websites to assist residents. Please do use them if you know anyone who wishes to report driving offences or needs support and advice if they have been a victim or witness of crime.
Operation Snap has been set up to help keep our county’s roads as safe as possible.
It allows members of the public to report driving offences in the Northamptonshire area by filling out a form and uploading video evidence they have captured.
Submitted footage and reports are then examined by roads policing officers and can be used to take action against drivers found to be breaking the law.
Voice is a free, confidential support service for victims and witnesses of crime.
