UPDATE ON PLANNING APPLICATION NN/24/00021/WASFUL
Proposed Recycling Facility – Doddington Road, Wollaston
Wollaston Parish Council would like to provide residents with a further update regarding the proposed commercial recycling facility on Doddington Road, Wollaston.
The Parish Council continues to strongly oppose this planning application and remains committed to representing the concerns and interests of local residents. We recognise the significant level of concern within the community regarding the potential impact of the proposed development, including traffic, highway safety, environmental considerations, noise and the potential impact on the surrounding area.
We have now been informed that the decision on planning application NN/24/00021/WASFUL has been postponed until 30th September 2026.
The application remains under consideration by North Northamptonshire Council’s Minerals and Waste Planning Officers, who are continuing to review the various assessments, reports and additional information that have been submitted as part of the application.
The postponement means that a decision will not be made at this stage, and the Parish Council will continue to monitor the application closely and engage with the relevant planning officers as the process progresses.
We appreciate that residents will be frustrated that the application has been ongoing for such a considerable period of time. However, it is important that all relevant information and assessments are properly considered before a final decision is made.
Wollaston Parish Council will continue to oppose the proposals and will keep residents informed of any significant developments.
We would once again like to thank everyone who has taken the time to raise their concerns, submit objections and support the Parish Council throughout this ongoing planning process.
Further updates will be provided as soon as we receive any new information.
