Elections to Wollaston Parish Council will be held on Thursday 06 May 2021. Please email the clerk on for a nomination pack. Closing date to return forms to the Parish Clerk for delivery to the Borough Council is Tuesday 30 March 2021. If you wish to download your own copy of the nomination forms, you can complete them and contact the Borough Council to book an appointment to hand deliver them. Last day is 08 April 2021 by 4pm.…

You will become an elected member of the Wollaston Parish Council representing your residents and their views in the community, making the village a safer, cleaner and better place to live.

Councillors meet once a month, usually the third Thursday, to discuss issues which have been placed on an agreed agenda. There are many working parties you can become a member of such as, Planning, Highways & Environment, Cemetery, Footpaths, Street Lighting, Playing Field & Parks Management Committee, Community Safety, Village Hall Representative, Youth Project and Finances & Staff. There are also 2 new working parties, one being the proposed new community centre and preschool and a community emergency committee to ensure during an emergency residents know what to do and where to go as well as who will be available to assist. There is something for everyone and you will have the opportunity to guide the future of your village, making it a better place for all residents to live.

So if you want to be a part of the decision making in your village and you can think, listen and act locally apply today. There is free training available to assist you in your role as a Councillor and the opportunity to attend seminars, meetings and road shows to help with your decision making.… There are nomination papers contained within this pack you can print off on green paper for Parish Council elections. The Borough Council will be collecting the nomination papers which you must hand in by hand, in person. It is advisable to call the Borough Council and meet with the election department to have your papers looked through for any errors as you will need to complete a fresh pack. Any papers handed in without being checked and have errors may not be included.

During the Pandemic, meetings are held virtually so IT knowledge with access to a computer or tablet would be beneficial in order that you can attend meetings.
