I am a recently retired secondary school teacher and have lived in Wollaston for 26 years. I have been serving as a Wollaston parish councillor for the past 3 years.
During my time on the parish council, I have been part of the Parks and Playing fields committee and worked with a fellow councillor to enable the funding and installation of the adult gym equipment at the playing field.
I applied for the position of a Unitary Councillor as I was born and brought up in Northamptonshire and felt the need to get involved because I have feel that too many decisions made about our county didn’t reflect how many people actually felt. With the reorganisation of Northamptonshire County Council into two unitary authorities, I wanted to use the opportunity to make all our voices heard.
