The Parish Council meeting will take place on Thursday 25 May 2023.  This is where the community organisations have a chance to update the community over the last year.   The meeting is open to the public and press from 7pm.  (Cemetery - queries should be directed to North Northants Council).

 

Wollaston Parish Council will meet at the Oasis Room next door to the Village Hall on the High Street.       In the meantime, should you wish to raise anything with the Parish Council please contact the clerk on clerk@wollastonparishcouncil.gov.uk.     Your issue can be raised and resolved at a later date.   

 

Meeting notices will be placed on the notice boards outside the Co op, on the board by the zebra crossing on South Street and the Agenda on the website.  There is a public open meeting for the first 15 minutes for residents to attend during the Parish Council meeting to raise any issues and concerns they may have.    The Parish Council can then discuss your issues or concerns if they are on the Agenda for that evening, otherwise the issue will be raised and resolved by councillors at the next meeting.   Only issues on the Agenda can be discussed at meetings and resolved for that particular meeting.

 

Residents are welcome to sit through the whole meeting and listen but they will not be entitled to comment.   Residents will be asked to leave if there is a confidential matter being discussed.

 

If you are interested in becoming a councillor, contact the clerk.   Seats are not available at the moment for a councillor, but should a vacancy arise, we can contact you.  It is an exciting opportunity to represent your community and help to keep it a great place to live and work.  You need to be open and honest and be able to contribute positively with a can do attitude.  The Parish Council meet every third Thursday of the month so you will need to be available for meetings and work within a team.   You can contact the clerk on clerk@wollastonparishcouncil.gov.uk for further details.
