Jonathan Alms

Wollaston Parish Councillor

I stood as an Independent at the Parish Council elections in May 2021, as I feel that party politics are not relevant in a village community.  I became a Parish Councillor 10 years ago, wanting to be part of “The Big Society” and have enjoyed getting involved with many village affairs, including The Youth Group, Footpaths and, recently, the Manchester Bomber Memorial. My ideas for the future include re-starting the village Fete, twinning with a village in France and a more prominent role for the Parish Council to create a better village community.
