Footpaths

Purpose

To oversee the footpaths and bridleways in the Parish and to ensure they are kept clear of obstructions.

Duties

  1. To walk the public footpaths and bridleways of the Parish, if possible on a monthly basis, to discover whether there is any action that needs to be taken either by the Parish Council or the County Council to maintain them to a proper standard.
     
  2. As appropriate, to report any problems either to the Parish Council or directly to the County Council.
     
  3. Where practical, to cut back undergrowth to allow unhindered access to kissing gates, styles and gaps in hedges / fences.
    Note: the Chairman of this Sub Committee is also the Parish Paths Warden.
