Public consultation now booked for Tuesday 30th June 3pm – 7pm at the Village Hall with PHP architects in attendance. All Village Hall groups have been cancelled for that day. Wollaston and Strixton preschool will also be in attendance together with Cllrs. The library window display has been booked between 6th-11th July to display the information boards. Clerk has created a poster and social media post to promote the event on social media, website and noticeboards. The pre-planning application response was also reviewed, and a number of surveys require to be completed as part of our full planning submission (Noise Impact, Drainage, Ecology/Bio-Net Gain/Landscape, Heritage assessment, Sustainability assessment and Topological/existing elevations survey). Cllr Carter will commence reaching out to these contacts. The revised plans provide availability for room in the main Hall for a theatrical stage in the extended area where the storage room is now which will once again allow the VH to have theatrical events from time to time with a reasonable size audience. Clerk has contacted NCALC for loan and funding options. Cllr Mitchell has secured a TEAMS meeting with the Duchy to seek finance in lieu of the unusable land that they gifted to the Community. There has been no further communication from NNC S106 team, Cllr Carter to chase.
The closing bank balance as of May 31st was £24,494.96 (see attached). Roofing bill paid £1580 and slabs repair £480. Ad Hoc Users not all May usage, it includes payment from Dance Youth Club until July and £108 for Sept.
All maintenance has been carried out (roofing, slabs, emergency fire light). Clerk has booked the annual garden tidy up with Hayeswood Landscapes for June/July. Jaz advised that some users were unaware of the plans for the Village Hall re-development – Cllr Carter to contact. Jaz advised of three further new regular users (Sunday Yoga, Baby Sensory classes and Dance Fitness) these users have been informed of the re-development. A large booking for the Oasis has been taken for two weeks in June for company training. Regular bookings are being taken for parties. No issues with cleaning. Jaz advised that she will be on holiday in September.
No issues. Uptake is low.
Cllr J-P Carr has made contact regarding the Village Hall hosting a film/archive evening later in the year. The Village Hall committee would be required to sell the tickets and split the proceeds towards the Village Hall. Clerk to forward the details once received.
