MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Of Wollaston Village Hall

Charity No 10269895

 

Tuesday 12th November 2024 at 6.30pm, Village Hall

Present:       Mike Goldsmith (Chair), Suzanne Grant (Secretary), Greg Carter, Fran Woods, Jaza Babar, Kathyrn Betts, Frances Woods, Anna Fermi (Busy Bees).

Apologies:   Penny Watts (Busy Bees), Maureen Green, Geoff Simmons (Treasurer).

  1. Welcome and Apologies

Mike welcomed everyone to the meeting and apologies were given as above.

 

  1. Chair’s Report

Mike reported to the meeting that most of this year had been spent working on the Village Hall re-development.   An Early Years Childcare Survey has been circulated to the village, surrounding villages and Schools and this will be presented to the NNC S106 Team together with a Budget Plan for Busy Bees to enable the release of the S106 monies towards additional Early Learning Years infrastructure.   A public consultation will be held and planning permission applied for.  The Duchy will be approached for compensation for gifted unsuitable land in Irchester Road due to HSE zones. Mike also reported that Mr. Geoff Simmons had now retired from his voluntary position as Village Hall Treasurer.

Please see attached.  The Committee Unanimously agreed this report as a true record.

  1. Chair: Mike Goldsmith                              Proposed by Mr. Greg Carter

Seconded by Mrs. Kathyrn Betts

Unanimously agreed.

 

 

  1. Treasurer: TBC                                                 (Mr. Geoff Simmons

                                                                            retired on September 30th, 2024 – new

Treasurer position to be filled asap)

                                                                                  

 

  1. Secretary: Suzanne Grant                       Proposed by Dr Mike Goldsmith

Seconded by Mrs. Kathyrn Betts

Unanimously agreed.

 

  1. Trustees:

Dr M. Goldsmith, Miss F Woods and Mrs. S Grant. Mr. Greg Carter was unanimously agreed to be added as a Trustee. The Charity Commission is to be notified of any changes, Mr. G Simmons has resigned as a trustee.

 

  1. Committee Members:

Dr. M. Goldsmith (Parish Council representative), Mr. G. Carter (Parish Council               representative), Miss J. Babar, Mrs. S. Grant, Miss F. Woods, Mrs. M. Green, Mrs. P. Watts and Mrs. K. Betts.

 

  1. Date of next AGM:

Tuesday November 4th, 2025, 6.30pm.
