24/128 – REPORTS

(a)   New Community Centre/preschool Update – A Teams meeting was held this week with the NNC S106 team and the Early Learning Team.  The Parish Council have sent architect plans, pre-application response, Busy Bees budget plan, Survey Monkey Early Learning needs results, a revised ground floor plan showing the total internal activity area of 93sqm and reiterated that the project is critically dependent on the allocation of the £348K early learning years S106 funding and without this the Busy Bees preschool setting will be forced to close resulting in a reduction of Early Learning capacity in Wollaston. A site meeting with the Early Learning and Buildings Team will be held in January.

(b)  Playing fields & Parks Management Committee (Draft Minutes appendix 5). Concerns have been raised by Cllr Milroy over the annual payment of the mowing allocation to the Cricket Club.  Cllr Milroy’s criticism of the Mowing budget will be an agenda item in January’s PC Meeting so that Cllr Milroy can raise her concerns with Parish Councillors.

(c)    Streetlights – no issues. Street Doctor Report (Appendix 6) no issues, although still waiting for London Road (poor road surface) proposed date given of 11/03/25.  Clerk to check the details of the major repairs for London Road.

(d)  Footpaths Update – Shepherds Hill footpath – no updates.

(e)  Village Hall management Committee Update – (Draft minutes appendix 7). No major issues, currently working and engaging with Village Hall users to manage the Village Hall redevelopment.
