The Vics and Youth football teams have spent £1500 on pitch draining and a partial overseed. The damaged area has been roped off and training re-located to the MUGA whilst the ground recovers. The football changing room floors have been re-painted. All paperwork has been submitted to the league for the AGM on June 23rd in order that the Saturday league can hopefully recommence next season.

Cricket season is going well for all 3 teams and youth has over 100 children signed on. Girls’ softball tournaments have commenced and will continue over the summer. There will be softball cricket school tournaments held over the next two Thursdays in June with over 100 people in attendance. The large youth tournament due to be held on June 22nd will require roped off parking alongside the pitch for 30 cars.

PURCHASES REQUIRED

Quote received for mole pest control (3 visits £135-£180 ex VAT, 5 visits £220-£300 ex VAT). It was agreed to mow the affected area weekly for now and report back at the next meeting.

Mr Savage to purchase sand for slabs and the basketball bases.

FIELD MAINTENANCE/MATTERS RELATING TO THE FIELD

Car parking issues – further complaint has been received regarding overflow parking on London Road when the field is particularly busy. It was agreed that Mr Cotter should mark the car park out by spray painting parking lines and to review the results. However, it is believed that 48/50 cars in the maximum that space allows. It was also agreed to trial a car parking overflow area in front of the multi-gym for coaches and officials which will alleviate 6 or 7 cars from the car park. This would need to be marked out properly and roped off if a permanent solution for safety purposes.

Mr Hodson to report back at next meeting with details on Owl Boxes.

Mr Tusting has given permission for entering his land for rabbit control ensuring notice is given to move his livestock.

Cess pit levels continue to be monitored, no change.
