All urgent repairs for St Marys and London Road playparks as per the annual audits carried out in June and August of this year, have been mostly carried out by the contractor this week. There is painting still to be done, delayed due to the weather and the basket swing at St Mary’s has been removed awaiting repair. Clerk to chase the trip point work (grass seeding) at the bottom of the slide at London Road as this doesn’t appear to have been completed.
MUGA UPDATE
The Floodlights have been reported as still tripping in Court 2. The electrician is having trouble establishing the issue and will continue to investigate. Mr Savage reported there are continued issues with the MUGA gate bolts working loose due to poor design, Mr Silsby to look into. Mr Savage and Mr Jones to put additional sand into the basketball bases and repair the bent hoop. The MUGA court will be repainted free of charge by the supplier in May 2026.

Mr Thompson continues to work hard keeping the garden tidy and the brown bin is being emptied fortnightly.
SPORTS ASSOCIATION REPORT
S106 Business Case for the remaining S106 monies for Playing Pitches and maintenance– Clerk reported that NNC have confirmed that the monies will not be available for April 2026. Clerk to email Quintin Allen to advise to proceed with the application regardless and the work will be moved around and phased through once the monies are received later in the year. Mr Silsby to talk to Premier.
Mr Perry reported that the football and cricket clubs have jointly funded the heat cables to reduce electricity costs. Due to weather and fixtures, there are not many games being played at home currently. Consequently, the pitch is looking good and the youth are happy with the extra work carried out on their pitches.
