An issue was raised with Budget for 2025/2026 with the reduced payment of £250 from £500 to the Cricket Club for the upkeep/maintenance of the grass. Pest control and sundry maintenance to be slightly lowered to allow the £500 to be reinstated still allowing the overall budget to remain at £12,200 for 2025/26. To be ratified at the Parish Council meeting on December 12th, 2024. Mrs Milroy left the meeting at this point.

SPORTS ASSOCIATION REPORT

Mr Perry met with a FA Northants Development contact to discuss Pitch Power funding for pitch maintenance/drainage and facilities. The ground was tested and resulted in a basic result due to the condition of the junior goal mouth. This result would provide a sum of £16,640 over a period of 6 years with the Sports Association expected to put in £6,400 during years 3-6. To be reviewed again in March/April 2025. Mr Perry advised that he raised the question of the Football Foundation putting money into the clubhouse building – a meeting is due to be held later this week, but turning the showers into cubicles has proved to increase usage. Costs required for new pipework, boiler and shower cubicles. Mr Perry to report back at next meeting.

The Sports Association have purchased equipment from Weed Spray contractor to carry out the spraying independently, including the Tennis Court area.

Heaters were switched on in the Clubhouse during the recent cold snap resulting in a very high bill, Mr Perry to investigate. Heaters now off and will be switched on when required.

Once these quotes have been received, to be added to an agenda as a resolution for spending of the available historic S106 monies.
