Extraordinary Meeting of the Council

 

 

Attendees are reminded that in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960 and Openness of Local Government Bodies Regulations 2014, this meeting may be recorded.

 

 

You are hereby summoned to attend an Extraordinary Meeting of the Parish Council of Wollaston which is to be held on Wednesday 4th March 2026 which commences at 7.00pm at the Oasis Lounge, High Street, Wollaston for the purpose of transacting the following business, namely: –

 

 

  1. Open meeting (15 minutes). Members of the public can address the Parish Council for a maximum of three minutes, subject to an overall public speaking time of 15 minutes.
  2. To receive and accept apologies for absence
  3. To receive declaration of interest related to business on the agenda
  4. Welcome – Why this meeting concerning the application NN/24/00021/WASFUL was called brief explanation – Cllr Atkinson
  5. Current situation – Feedback on the number of objections to date or at least to the last count.
  6. Feedback from ad hoc additional meetings undertaken. Including from the legal advice obtained
  7. Timeline (First application – objections, decision, original refusal up to this new application Dec 2025). – Cllr Mitchell
  8. What the PC can / cannot undertake with banners and placards.
  9. Policy detail (strengths and weaknesses)
  10. Any additional questions from Councillors
  11. Next steps up to the final submission – 31st March 2026
