WOLLASTON WOMBLES - Community Litter Pick March 28th

The litter picks for 28 March and 11 April have been postponed to SEPTEMBER 2020
 The Community Environment Group, Wollaston Wombles are aiming to litter pick as well as clear leaves, cut back overgrown vegetation from paths and signs, clean signs and report pot holes, damaged paths and blocked drains.       Keep an eye out for the next one to run alongside Keep Britain Tidy's Great British Spring Clean from 20 March to 13 April 2020 in the next edition of the WASNAV.
Our first Community Environment litter pick and village tidy will be on SATURDAY 28 March 2020, 9.30am meet at The Hill.  We are hoping to meet back at The Hill after a couple of hours for refreshments then continue, if anyone wishes, with the tidying up of the village and reporting issues.    Please dress appropriately for litter picking.  Bring some gloves.  Grabbers will be provided together with refuse bags for collection by Norse.  You will be provided with a high vis vest too.    Other options are wipes, small spades, brushes, secateurs and notepad for cleaning street signs, cutting back grass from overgrown paths, sweeping paths, cutting back overgrown vegetation on paths, noting blocked drains, signs that need replacing or potholes that need reporting.
The first one is SATURDAY 28TH MARCH 9.30 AT THE HILL.
The next one will be on SATURDAY 11 April 2020, 9.30 with hopefully, Hot Cross Buns for refreshments.
