Judicial Review into Northamptonshire Library Closures
Thursday, June 28, 2018
The latest news regarding the library service in Northamptonshire is that there will be a judicial review at the end of July. It was agreed at a full County Council meeting by Members that no closures will occur until the decision of the judicial review is known and that Officers will be asked to continue to work with community organisations where there is an intention and will to form an independent library. You may well have heard the reports on local radio and in the local press this week that there has been no interest from anyone to run a community led library in Wollaston - this information is incorrect. The Wollaston Community Library Trust has been working hard over the last few months to ensure that they can community lead the library in Newton Road.
