Jim MacKenzie

Wollaston Parish Councillor

Jim was a professional soldier for over 35 years, specialising in explosive effects and protective structures. On retirement from the army in 2005 he and his family settled in Wollaston and he joined The Crown Service as a Government Security Advisor. He retired from full time employment in 2014 and now does occasional consultancy and lecturing.

Jim is a Chartered Civil Engineer (Highways and Bridge Engineering) and is on the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists.  He is a police volunteer and a director of a charity that grants scholarships to profoundly injured ex-military and police.
